FAQS

Who do you work with?

I work with everyday families, single-income households, and self-employed professionals who want real financial guidance — not a one-size-fits-all plan. If you've ever felt like financial planning wasn't made for people like you, you're exactly who I'm here for.

Do I need to have a lot of money to work with you?

Absolutely not. Most of my clients are everyday people building toward something — not people who already have it all figured out. We start where you are and build from there.

Where are you licensed?

I'm currently licensed in Texas and expanding to additional states. Reach out and I'll let you know if I can serve you in your state.

What's the difference between term and permanent life insurance?

Term life insurance covers you for a set period of time — think of it as income protection while your family needs it most. Permanent life insurance, like whole life or an IUL, covers you for life and also builds cash value you can actually use while you're still here. I'll help you figure out which one makes sense for your situation.

I already have life insurance through my job. Do I still need a policy?

Employer coverage is a great start, but it usually isn't enough and it disappears the moment you leave that job. Having your own policy means you're covered no matter what changes in your career or your life.

What is an IUL and is it right for me?

An Indexed Universal Life policy is a type of permanent life insurance that also grows cash value tied to a market index — without the risk of losing money when the market dips. It's a powerful tool for retirement planning and leaving a legacy. It's not for everyone, but for the right person it's a game changer. Let's talk and find out if it fits your goals.

I'm self-employed. Can you help me?

Yes — and honestly, this is one of my favorite conversations to have. Self-employed people often have no employer benefits, no safety net, and no one guiding their financial future. I specialize in helping you build your own protection and wealth strategy on your terms.

What notary services do you offer?

I'm a certified Notary Public, Loan Signing Agent, and Trust Delivery Agent. I can assist with real estate loan signings, wills, trusts, and general notary needs and I'm mobile, so I can come to you. As a mobile notary I come to wherever is most convenient for you — your home, office, or another location. Just reach out to schedule.

How do I get started? How much does a consultation cost?

Simple, just reach out. We'll schedule a no-pressure conversation where I get to know your situation and walk you through your options. No jargon, no hard sell. Just a real conversation about your future. Your initial consultation is completely free. My goal is to make sure you have the information you need to make the best decision for your family, before you ever commit to anything.

What are "living benefits" and why do they matter?

Most people think life insurance only pays out when you pass away — but living benefits change that. If you're ever diagnosed with a critical, chronic, or terminal illness, living benefits allow you to access a portion of your life insurance policy while you're still alive. That money can be used to cover medical expenses, replace lost income, pay your mortgage, or simply keep your family stable during one of the hardest seasons of life. It's one of the most important features most people have never heard of — and Karen makes sure her clients understand exactly what their policy can do for them, today and in the future.
